Ashlee Granville, a nineteenth-century clairvoyant, is forced to suppress her talents when entering the English upper-class marriage market. Lillet du Lac is a thirteenth-century French priestess. The three women belong to an ancient bloodline of Grail kings and are protected by Albray, a knight. Wren’s reading is so outstanding that listeners will have to remind themselves that she’s the sole narrator. She creates an assortment of character voices, raising or lowering her pitch and altering her accent to fit the variety of characters.
