International bestseller

Winner Los Angeles Times Book Prize / Young Adult Fiction 2004

"A well-developed story that will spark reflection on the meaning and strength of peer and romantic relationships."
School Library Journal

"Burgess captures teenage life brilliantly."
The Sunday Times

Do you remember the first time?

Dino really fancies fit, sexy Jackie, but she just won't give him what he wants... Jonathan likes Deborah, but she's a bit fat - what will his mates say? Ben's been secretly shagging his teacher for ages. He used to love it, but what if he wants it to stop? Three lads discovering sex for the first time. But do any of them really know what they're doing?

"Provocative teen fiction looking at the subject of teenage sex. Stimulated a lot of discussion in hardback and sure to do the same now. Written by the author of "Junk" which won the Guardian Children's Fiction Prize and the Carnegie Medal."
The Guardian
