Dave Cartel (or DC to friends, colleagues and baristas) is a writer, director and producer who has made television for every major network in Australia. If you were an Aussie or Kiwi kid aged between eight and 16 any time in the past 15 years, then odds are good that Cartel made something that was a big deal to you. Think of your favourite kid’s show. No, not that one, the weirder one. Yup. He wrote and directed that.
When he’s not co-ordinating slime attacks or working with adorable animals, Cartel works in comedy. He has written and directed on an assortment of sketch shows, as well as variety and live television. His unique style has also led to a variety of gigs we can file under ‘misc’ – writing a podcast pilot, directing music videos and even producing a live stage show for YouTube sensations Joe Sugg and Caspar Lee. He also directed a goat once. And never will again.
