Alan Horsfield is a qualified teacher and successful freelance writer of children's books for readers from six to young adult. His early writing was for children's magazines, newspapers and journals. Later, he began writing textbooks and factual books. His first children's fiction was published in 1996. Alan and his wife, Elaine, enjoy travelling and many of Alan's stories reflect the places he has visited.
