Alex Milway

Author

Alex Milway

Alex Milway has always enjoyed making up stories and, after leaving art college, he discovered that he liked to write and illustrate them as well. His interest in furry creatures first reared its head in the The Mousehunter trilogy, where weird and wonderful mice ran riot all over the world. In The Mythical 9th Division, the fur quota got even bigger, as he had to master the art of drawing a troop of yetis whose main purpose was to save the world. His new series, Pigsticks and Harold, features a furry hamster and a decidedly un-furry pig.

International bestseller

'Milway develops his characters into quite lovable friends that children will adore. Pigsticks is certainly in charge, but it is clear that without his assistant, his goal will never be realised.'
School Library Journal

Step aside Holmes and Watson – only Pigsticks and Harold can solve the case of the Tuptown Thief!

There's a thief on the loose in Tuptown, and the annual Butterfly Ball will be cancelled unless someone is brought to justice. Luckily, Pigsticks has crime-fighting in his blood and a magnifying glass in his hand. Will Detective Pigsticks and his keen-eyed assistant Harold solve the crime? And can they do it in time to save the Butterfly Ball?

'When Pigsticks, a pig with wanderlust, teams up with Harold the hamster, anything can happen ... Funny.'
Kirkus Reviews
