Shelley is the author/illustrator of the Beatrice Zinker, Upside Down Thinker chapter book series (Little, Brown BFYR), and picture book debut, More Than Sunny (Abrams 2021). Before becoming an author-illustrator, Shelley began her creative career with ten years in architecture – where she fell in love with felt-tip pens, tracing paper and the greatness of black turtlenecks. She currently lives in Metro Detroit, Michigan with her husband, two sons and two adorable birds.
