Samantha Bond

Samantha Bond trained at the Bristol Old Vic Theatre School and became a founder member of Kenneth Branagh’s touring theatre company in the 1980s. She played a formidable Beatrice to his Benedick in the production of Much Ado About Nothing directed by Judi Dench. She has worked extensively with the Royal Shakespeare Company and the Royal National Theatre, gaining particular acclaim for her role in Amy’s View, this time acting opposite Dench. When the play transferred to Broadway in 1999, she was nominated for a Tony award.
