Dan Russell

Narrator

Dan Russell

American-born Dan Russell has had a varied career mostly centred on voice and vocals for TV, radio, and animation. He arrived in the UK in the mid-80s, essentially as a songwriter for Acuff-Rose Music, and was soon working as a voice artist/session singer & guitarist for what was at the time a very London-centric music business. In 1994, Dan was asked to voice a character in Peter Rabbit and Friends, and has been an animation voice artist and voice director ever since. Dan has acted in and/or directed something like 5000 shows. Most recently, he has played 11 characters in the multi-award-winning The Amazing World of Gumball (Cartoon Network). Some of the Australian shows he has worked on include, The Skinners, The Pirate Dinosaurs, Tashi, Teenage Fairytale Dropouts, & Lexi & Lottie. Reading the Diary of a Wimpy Kid series has been an honour and far more fun than you could imagine. Dan spends his days now voicing & voice directing animation, and contributing to TV & radio ads, and docs. He is also an active songwriter. His pastimes include his dog and fly fishing.

#1 New York Times bestselling series

It's the summer, and we're back with Greg Heffley and his crazy family in the fourth mega-selling instalment of Jeff Kinney's hilarious Diary of a Wimpy Kid series!

It's the summer holidays, the weather's great, and all the kids are having fun outside. So where's Greg Heffley? Inside his house, playing video games with the shades drawn. Greg, a self-confessed 'indoor person,' is living out his ultimate summer fantasy: no responsibilities and no rules. But Greg's mom has a different vision for an ideal summer ... one packed with outdoor activities and 'family togetherness.' Whose vision will win out? Or will a new addition to the Heffley family change everything?

'Genre-busting series ... spot-on humour and a winning formula.'
