Sam Kelly

Sam Kelly was an English film, television, radio and theatre actor. He is best known as the inept German officer Hans Geering in 'Allo 'Allo. During the course of his theatre career, he made frequent appearances at London's West End, the Old Vic and the Royal Court in plays ranging from The Odd Couple and HMS Pinafore to War and Peace. Kelly's expressive features also splendidly suited a varied gallery of Dickensian characters, including the timid Mr. Snagsby in Bleak House, the kindly manservant Giles in Oliver Twist and the grocer Cudlipp in Micawber.
