Carol Monda
Carol is an actor, voiceover talent and Audie Award-winning audiobook narrator. She has read for Recorded Books, Harper Audio, Audible.Com, Hachette, HighBridge, Clipper Audio, Edge Studio, Books on Tape, Academic Merit, and Redwood Audio's listentogenius.com. She has been a featured narrator in Audiofile magazine, Voiceover Xtra, and the Recorded Books Catalog.
In addition to narrating several documentaries, Carol has been "the voice" of the Turner Classic Movies Film Festival since 2010 and has voiced tributes to such luminaries as Jean Paul Belmondo, the Houstons, Luise Rainer, and Eli Wallach.
Her commercial voiceover clients have included HSBC, USDA, Seton Hall, AFL-CIO, Bell Atlantic, Sag-Aftra, Amazon and McDonald's, among others. She regularly voices promos for TCM & TNT.
In addition to coaching at Edge Studio, she is an adjunct professor of narration and commercial voiceover at NYU's Digital Design and Film School and has taught Voice and Speech III at NYU’s Tisch School for the Arts. She has led classes for over 20 years in voice, acting, scene study, and auditioning at such schools as Theatre Lab School of the Dramatic Arts, Roundhouse Theatre, Capitol Hill Arts Workshop, Bethesda Arts Center, Woolly Mammoth Theatre Company, and Belvoir Terrace. Carol has also worked as a theatre director and voice and acting teacher at New York City’s Professional Performing Arts School.
At Edge, Carol focuses on students' goals and explores the nuances of oral interpretation, vocal technique, point of view and text analysis. She aims to cultivate in each of her students the most effective and evocative delivery possible.
