Bret Easton Ellis is an American author, screenwriter and short story writer who divides his time between Los Angeles and New York City. He has written seven novels, and his works have been translated into 27 languages. Four of his novels have been made into films. He was at first regarded as one of the so-called literary Brat Pack, which also included Tama Janowitz and Jay McInerney.
