Kübra Gümüsay

Kübra Gümüsay is a journalist and activist. In 2018 she was listed by Forbes Magazine as one of 30 under 30 Europe. As a writer she works for media outlets such as Die Tageszeitung, Die Zeit, Zeit Online and many others. Her field of expertise includes social media and it's impact on the public discourse, organised hate on the web, (intersectional) feminism & racism. In 2010 she has co-founded Zahnräder, a network of young and successful Muslim academics, social entrepreneurs, media personalities and artists that has earned several awards for its innovative and sustainable work. In 2013 she co-founded #SchauHin, an online network of media activists against racism. She co-launched the campaign #ausnahmslos against sexismus and racism in 2016, as well as a call for #organisedlove through her acclaimed talk "Organisierte Liebe" at re:publica and a TEDx Talk.
