Laura McNeal
I earned an MA in fiction writing from Syracuse University in 1990, taught private school English for three years, and began collaborating with Tom on a picture book and a formless thing about a girl named Clara. Since the completion of the Clara story, which became Crooked, I've alternated full-time writing with pretending everything I bake is "for the children" and screwing up the laundry. My short stories and essays have appeared in The Quarterly, The Georgia Review, The Threepenny Review, Sunset, and the San Diego Reader, and my historical novel, The Practice House, will be published by Little A on April 1, 2017.
