David McAllister

Born in Perth, David McAllister joined The Australian Ballet in 1983 where he was soon made principal dancer. Throughout his career, McAllister made numerous guest appearances worldwide, dancing with the Bolshoi Ballet, the KirovBallet, the Georgian State Ballet, The National Ballet of Canada, Birmingham Royal Ballet, Singapore Dance Theatre and, in 1992, as part of a Royal Gala performance in London in the presence of the Princess of Wales. In 2004 he was awarded a Member of the Order of Australia.
