Kate Kruimink is a writer from the Huon Valley. Her novel 'A Treacherous Country' won the 2020 Vogel Award for Young Writers. It was also shortlisted for the Prime Minister's Award for Literature and longlisted for the Walter Scott Prize in the UK. Kate Kruimink was named one of the Sydney Morning Herald Best Young Novelists in 2021. Her shorter works have been published in a number of journals, including 'Island' and 'Going Down Swinging'.
