Robin McKinley

Robin McKinley has won various awards and citations for her writing, including the Newbery Medal and a Newbery Honor. Born in the US, Robin was an only child whose family moved every year or two – to California, Japan, upstate New York and New England. She now lives in Hampshire England with two dogs, over five hundred rose bushes, a cream-coloured 1965 MGB convertible, and her husband, the English writer Peter Dickinson. When Robin is not writing she enjoys gardening, walking their dogs, cooking and of course, reading.
