British pop singer/songwriter Lily Allen skyrocketed to fame through the Myspace platform in 2005 with her songs ‘Smile’ and ‘LDN’ becoming two of the biggest anthems of that year. Her debut record, Alright, Still, sold over 2.6 million copies worldwide and brought Allen a nomination at the Grammy Awards, Brit Awards and MTV Video Music Awards. But it wasn’t only her music making waves. Allen's penchant for ball gowns teamed with trainers made her an unlikely style icon, catching the eye of head creative director of Chanel, Karl Lagerfeld. Allen also hosted her own talk show Lily Allen and Friends on BBC3.
